#Awwpartment: Living Room Update

I hope you guys are ready for some more home decor posts, because we’ve got ’em coming!!! We spent the whole first week of January assembling furniture and cleaning everything to get ready for a fresh start! I’ve lived in the same 1,000 sq ft lofted apartment in Brooklyn for 4 years now, with three bedrooms (which don’t include ANY closets), and where our living room is studio-style, meaning that the kitchen and living area are all in one room. Last year our big project was clearing out one of our rooms to use as a closet, which you can imagine was a huge game-changer. This year, with all of our old apartment furniture now at the studio, we’re starting with a blank slate! You have no idea how excited I am to have an actual living space instead of a space surrounded by props and backdrop papers! Ha!

There are definitely limitations to what we’re allowed to do since we’re renters, BUT we have some tricks for changing up your space without losing your security deposit coming soon! We’re still working on planning everything out, but we’re close to being done with the living room so I wanted to give all of you a sneak peek and share my mood board for what we have in the works. Hope you’re ready for A LOT of color!

What do you think??? We clearly have a pink, blue, and yellow theme going on here, and I am stoked to see how it all comes together! Also I wanted to give a shout-out to all of you that came up with our apartment hashtag. SO many of you suggested #awwpartment, and it’s genius! We’ll be tagging everything with #awwpartment on Instagram, so follow along to see the transformation.
